Description
This, the first of two courses, is a serious introduction to fundamental concepts and applications of computer science. The programming language C++ is the vehicle for emphasis on algorithm development, programming style, structured and object-oriented programming. Students are introduced to common application software categories including web page development. Prerequisite: MAT 112 or its equivalent. Credit in this course may be applied toward a Mathematics major. Satisfies the Universitys general education requirement in Computer Science.
