Description
Middle level education encompasses early adolescence between the
ages of 10 and 15 Middle schools must be grounded in the diverse
characteristics and needs of these young people. The primary intent
of this course is to minimize the gap between education theory and
realities of dealing with students at this critical stage of life.
In addition, the course content and activities will assist aspiring
teachers in developing middle level education practicies that are
responsive to the special needs of children during these formative
years. Prerequisite: Admission into the teacher education program.
