Description
This course is intended to introduce students to some of history's most influential philosophers and philosophical ideas, from Plato through the 20th Century. Special attention will be paid to the historical context of philosophical reflection, and how specific problems and innovations prompted philosophers to propose new theories in metaphysics, epistemology, politics and ethics.
