Description
An introduction to a literacy framework for transitional and fluent
instruction. Instruction will review the foundations of literacy
with a focus on comprehension skills, vocabulary development and
fluency. Students will use the assessment, planning and instruction
cycle as they work with middle-level readers in book clubs and
individual conferences. Field-based practicum experience in a
primary classroom is included. Prerequisite: EDU323 and Admission
into the teacher education program. (3 s.h.)
