Description
This course provides the foundations of professional principles,
practice, and effective communication in public relations and social
media for corporate, governmental, and nonprofit organizations.
Students will learn how to develop, implement and evaluate public
relations strategies based on an organization's internal and
external environment and select strategies that better serve the
organization's goals. Students will study current public relations
and social media strategies by analyzing and discussing good and bad
practices. This course also explores other new media channels,
examining when and how they can be employed to better serve the
organization communication and relationship building needs.
Prerequisite: Admittance to the Ed.D program. (3 s.h.)
