Description
This course is a continuation of the previous Problem of Practice
course. Students will develop a literature review based upon the
defined Problem of Practice within their current work environment.
The literature review may include past history of the institution,
as appropriate (e.g. school board minutes, newspaper articles,
television transcripts). The main focus, however, will be on a
solution to the problem. Students will indicate major trends, as
well as gaps in the literature. They will provide definitions of key
terms or concepts. The final document will provide the reader with
appropriate context, a critical analysis of the research, and its
relationship to the stated Problem of Practice. Specific leadership
theory should be included in the research as it relates to the topic
and solution. The literature review will include a summary, as well
as a conclusion and implications. Prerequisite: Admittance to the
Ed.D. program. (3 s.h.)
