Description
This course serves as the culminating experience for aspiring K-12
building-level leaders, integrating research and practitioner
knowledge to develop leadership competencies. The capstone requires
candidates to apply knowledge from coursework, research and their
internship experiences to address real-world challenges in
educational settings, utilizing both evidence-based research and
practical insights from the field. Students will create a written
proposal addressing a critical issue in education and present it,
demonstrating their ability to bridge research and practice to lead
effectively at the K-12 building level. Students register for the
two-credit course in the fall semester and again in the spring
semester. Credits are repeatable (4 s.h., two earned each semester).
