Description

This course is designed as an introduction to the role of nursing research within the profession. The two goals of this course are: (a) to increase nurses' awareness, understanding and appreciation of the principles involved in nursing research and (b) to prepare nurses to better understand and utilize research findings in the continued effort to improve nursing practice. Students will be prepared to read reports of nursing research and critically assess their value in practice. To make this learning more meaningful, students will be encouraged to apply the knowledge gained to their own practice.
