Description
This course is designed to provide basic social work knowledge and
skills needed for macro practice - working with organizations and
communities. Coursework will examine the relationships between
national policies, community needs, and organizational programs.
Skills will be taught including needs assessment, strategic
planning, grant writing, program design, people management, change
management and program evaluation. This course will focus on social
work ethics and values of social justice and client
self-determination by empowering people through community organizing
and responsive program design. Prerequisite: SWK342. (3 s.h.)
