Description
This course uses economic theory and data to answer questions about
the labor market and the role of public policy. Microeconomic
principles will be applied to topics such as wage determination,
education, labor force participation, unemployment, immigration,
labor unions, and specific labor policies including the minimum
wages. Students will investigate these topics by evaluating recent
economic research findings and analyzing labor market data.
Prerequisites: ECO212 and ECO213. (3 s.h.) Anticipated frequency of
offering: spring odd years.
