Description

The study of nutrition and its effects on the health, developoment and physical performance of the individual. This course also covers the basic chemistry and physiology of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water, including the process of digestion, absorption, transport, storage and utilization. Students will analyze and evaluate food intake, applying current diatary research and guidelines. (3 s.h.)
