This course prepares the student to perform a comprehensive health assessment, which includes physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual varibales. Therapeutic communication, interviewing, and documentation skills related to the comprehensive health assessment and interview are developed. A focus on the theoretical basis for selected nursing skills, including safe medication administration, and the development of the student's psychomotor ability to perform these skills is emphasized.
