This course provides an introduction to pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics and pharmacogenomics, which includes learning basic terminology as it relates to medications. The content builds upon previous learning in the areas of math, anatomy, and physiology. Classifications of medications, their mechanisms of action, drug effects, indications, adverse reactions, and nursing implications are discussed in regards to safe medication administration.
