Description
This clinical course is designed for the LPN to BSN student and introduces students to the vulnerable population of children and their families. Students will integrate and build upon previous knowledge and skills within the context of pediatric healthcare. Course content includes growth and development, health promotion, influences on health, assessment techniques and the health problems of children. Clinical application will focus on children and their families along the health-illness continuum. Prerequisites: PSY211. Please also refer to the School of Nursing Student Resource Book. (2.5 s.h.)
