Description
In this course students will enhance their language proficiency
through the exploration of the scientific study of language, with
specific reference to Spanish. Students will become familiar with
the basics of several key areas of language study including the
formation and organization of sounds, words, and sentences; social
and contextual variation; and language change. A placement exam or
SPA 202 is required before registering for this course. Fulfills the
intercultural awareness core requirement. (3 s.h.)
