IMPACT Student Leadership

Are you interested in becoming a student leader?!

The Office of Student Life is excited that you are interested in serving our USF community!  We are now recruiting student leaders for the following positions: Orientation Coordinators, Resident Assistants, Peer Mentors, Campus Ministry Advocates, and Cougar Activities Board.

These student leader roles help facilitate a sense of belonging and connection at USF by providing peer-to-peer support, hosting social and educational programs, and building a sense of community.  With the talent, energy, and spirit of our student leaders, our university stands well-positioned to provide a true co-curricular program that encourages students to live fully engaged.

Students participating in the IMPACT Student Leadership Program embody the best of University of Sioux Falls and gain valuable experiences in areas such as soft skills while gaining real-world leadership experience, communication, student development, facilitating change, leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, and decision-making, team building, and the management of others.

Please see below for more information about each of these roles and the recruitment and selection timeline.

New applicants are students who have never applied or were not offered a position in the past. You are required to complete all steps to be considered for any of the leadership positions.

Returning applicants are students who currently or have previously held an IMPACT Student Leadership position.

If you have any questions about these roles or the application process, please don’t hesitate to reach out.  Or simply stop by the Student Life Office for a quick chat!

Parking Information for Snow Removal

Residential students who plan to leave for break and have intentions of leaving a car parked on campus will need to make sure your vehicle is moved to one of the outer parking spaces in either parking lot A (Stewart Center) or parking lot J (Collier Baker/Kroske Residence Hall) to avoid the potential need to move your car in the event the lots need to be cleared of snow during the break.  Cars that need to be moved will be charged up to $100 in charges for towing.

Residence Halls

Campus Safety & Security and Residence Life staff will be available throughout the break.  We will text, email and post on the app throughout the break if campus needs students to move cars for the snowplows to clear the lots. If leaving for the break, please remove any perishable food from your room, take out your trash, unplug your appliances, lock your door, and close your windows.
