The University of Sioux Falls is concerned for the health and wellness of our students and recommends that all full-time undergraduate students have health insurance.
The Affordable Care Act allows students to stay under their parent's health insurance policies until the age of 26. If this is an option for you, please make sure that the insurance will cover you in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Student athletes will be required to have proof of medical insurance in order to practice or compete. If an athlete already has a primary medical insurance plan, they may turn in a copy of their insurance card (both front and back) to their coach or trainer before their first day of practice. Please note, out of state student athletic insurance may be treated as out of network; therefore, it is recommended all student athletes work closely with their medical insurance providers.
The University of Sioux Falls provides the Student Athletic Accident Insurance Plan for Accident Related Claims, which is available as part of our participation in the NCAA.
