Description

Machine learning utilizes interdisciplinary techniques in the fields of statistics, mathematics, and computer science to create systems that can go through large volumes of data at high speed to make predictions or decisions without human intervention. Machine learning as a field is incredibly pervasive, with applications spanning from business, natural and social sciences, and the humanities. This class will familiarize and prepare students to work with a broad cross-section of models and algorithms for machine learning. Prerequisites: COM205 and MAT205 or their equivalents, and MAT302 recommended. (3 s.h.)
